Anton: My favorite part of any trauma resuscitation is waiting to see how the ortho trainee phrases to the patient that they're going to do a rectilexam. One resident said, I'm going to put my finger in your back passage. In your back passage? Back passage. The patient, I have no idea what that meant. And they never prep them for it either. Anton: Whether you work in a rural community or in a trauma center, you'll reflect on your practice. You hope when next time you get that patient that rolls in with a soft blood pressure after a trauma.
