"It's so sad, because he's trying, i guess, hard, but very overtly. And the first thing that happens is she walks, you know, she walks up and leaves the picture there," says Sutherland. "I read it as like, did she even ask her, like, whas she and, did he really think that was going to work? It's a kind of an ugly scene."
