A common misconception is that only men produced testosterone and only women produced estrogens. In fact, both men and women produced testosterone and estrogen. There are some other hormones that are also produced in the reproductive organs including progesterone, inhibin and relaxin. But again, we're not going to get into all the details here because that's better situated in a discussion of reproduction and pregnancy which we'll do in another episode.
