An international trial sponsored by the World Health Organization was cancelled suddenly in 2011 because of side effects experienced by the male participants. Emily Glastonbury is a 32-year-old woman from Manchester who has struggled with finding the right contraception for her family. She says it's not just a physical toll that contraceptives can take on you: It's a mental load as well.
