The Devastation of the Port Fire
At least 218 people were killed, including five nurses, a two-year-old boy from Australia, an American, and a German foreign minister. The Jordan Sizemological Observatory reported that it was equivalent to a 4.5 local magnitude earthquake. A huge condensation mushroom cloud filled the sky, followed by a reddish orange plume of smoke. Was one of the largest artificial non-nuclear explosions ever recorded.
