How Do You Write Visually?
Lorian: I started writing short stories and thinking of myself as a novelist but then the visual storytelling of the film really appealed to me in that how much storytelling happens through behavior. When I was a producer, I worked with a wonderful writer from the stage but when we turned the script Jodi said, why is everybody talking about what I should be seeing? And so I went back to the writer andI said, listen, just as a writing exercise to get your brain to understand the difference, try it as a silent film, right? The whole thing is a silent film so that your brain has to start to learn how to tell me everything I need to know but just visually. So
