This week a team from Imperial College London has worked out how to convert light into stuff. It's been on the books theoretically for 80 years, but written off largely as being practically impossible. But scientists laugh in the face of tricky and drop ice cubes down the back of impossible. We'll be hearing about the first of the longitude challenges on dementia later today.
