The Importance of Learning Gender Language
The idea that Japanese has women's language and men's language is not an accurate depiction of how real people speak in real world situations. There are lots of ways of conveying feminine femininity or masculinity without using these gendered linguistic markers. So for learners it's very important to learn about gender language, but it's also very important for instructors to be careful about how they do that.
