The Cuban Revolution Was Not a Socialist Revolution

There were three main revolutionary insurrectionary groups involved in armed struggle. The movement for the 26th of July which I mentioned, then you also had the student movement so very radical student movement. Then there was basically the Cuban Communist Party known as the Pateidos or Solici Popular Socialist Party. And what happens is there's all sorts of positioning and maneuvering and eventually those three groups start to coordinate from 1958. So when the revolution happens it's in the name of those three revolutionary groups. It's not a socialist revolution it's an insurrection against Batesa but when you factor in those two key elements, the desire, the absolute determination to achieve sovereignty and social justice.
