The Importance of Apostolic Infallibility

In Acts chapter 17, verse 11, we even see the instance where Christians tested Paul's words against the Hebrew Bible before accepting them. Does this perhaps create some kind of principle wherein apostolic teachings must first be tested against the words of the Old Testament before we accept them? "Without that presupposition, personally, I fail to see how you can deny the fallibility of Paul's writings," he says.
