Attention then turns to the analysis of Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to an Newcastle which now leaves the Gunners’ top four hopes in tatters. Neville feels they will not have a better opportunity to qualify for Champions League football and there can be no excuses from Mikel Arteta or his players. Carragher says the Magpies can push for a top four finish next season after they produced a inspired performance, he also expects them to invest during the summer transfer window.
