The Differences Between a Balanced Fund and a Target Date Fund

From about 70 on a target date fund is 30% in equity if you were in the black rock target date fund you would be 40% in equity so there are differences between these these target date funds. You may have the risk tolerance of having more equity in your portfolio my wife and I while we don't have a balanced fund we have a balanced portfolio that's 50 50 stocks and bonds. If you're under the umbrella of an IRA Roth 401k whatever I think the balanced fund is a great way to go.
