All the flights were diverted to los roder's airport on tenerief island which was about 60 nautical miles away. The kl m flight landed first, and the pan am flight landed around two 15 p m. And this airport they diverted to, the osrades airport, wasn't very well equipped to handle this influx of traffic. It only had one runway and one parallel taxi way, and four little connecting taxi ways between them. You can think of these as like a off ramps on a highway
