Elton John's Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me was a duet with George Michael. The song reached number one in 1992, two years after they performed it together at Live Aid. In 1994 Elton teamed up with Tim Rice for soundtrack to Disney animated feature The Lion King. But what led to this blockbuster was just about the saddest circumstance possible. It would be the last time George Michael topped the Hot 100.
