The US Government Isn't All Bad

The US government now owes what our economy produces in a year. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the federal government will spend $6.2 trillion in 2023. To pay for that spending, we'll raise just $4.8 trillion, leaving us with a $1.4 trillion deficit. We can narrow the gap substantially by clamping down on two massive drains on revenue: tax evasion and tax avoidance.
