You're not gonna come up with a holy original idea but you can sure as heck have something new to say about it yeah and part of that is trusting yourself and trusting your own voice. Some of the coolest ideas out there started from the sort of derivative like I really love Star Trek except why isn't there a revolution where they kill all the kings? Those are beautiful places to start from and then find your own voice from there.
