The Double Edged Sword, Bringing Your Whole Self to Work

i recognized that the only way i could survive and to see i was that i had to give up. The double edged sword, bringing your whole self to work, work life. Does anybody have a translation for this? French, hebrew, german, spanish? Anybody? It's an interesting thing. You start working with some one else, yor else o're not cheating on them, you know. So, yes, in that sense, i became less authentic.
