He worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for five years and studied gamma ray bursts, the largest explosions in the universe from across the universe. Then he took a job at that ignition with the ICF campaign, the inertial confinement fusion campaign. After 10 years or so, it's been all Python All The Time! Larry Wall: Something about its lexical structure appealed to me.
