Is There a Problem With Immigrant Welfare Benefits?
Milton Friedman once argued that immigrants get welfare benefits which the taxes of local citizens have paid for. He said illegal immigration is a net, net positive for the United States. But if you have open borders and all the immigrants came and became qualified for welfare, then you may have a problem, he says.
