The Importance of Beauty in Art

Einstein, Dirac and Yang all use beauty as their compass. Why should the laws of nature care about what we think is beautiful? The fundamental laws of nature are characterized by tremendous amounts of symmetry. They're not symmetries of objects but symmetry of concepts and equations.
