Qantas Names New CEO Vanessa Hudson

Qantas has named its current CFO Vanessa Hudson as the new CEO. She will replace Alan Joyce in November when Joyce retires from the airline. It ends or begins what I think is the first time of both Australian long haul carriers being held by women. Jane Hardlichka runs Virgin Australia and Vanessa Hudson will be running Qantas. So it will be interesting to see how Qantas changes with the departure of Joyce, who's a very strong character.
