Cryptocurrency and the Future of Money
The idea that you can abdicate the political dimensions of money creation to an algorithm is dangerous. There's still a play of power going on, and a play of agreements that determine who benefits from it. So Bitcoin benefits those who have a certain amount of technological savvy with server farms. It's not a very conscious choice of how should we distribute new money in society. That should happen as a political agreement, as a social agreement which embodies our values.
