Why I Started Trauma Therapy

This week on Calling in Sick, I’m pulling back the curtain on something I’ve never really talked about in depth: trauma therapy. Not wellness aesthetic therapy. Not “journal and manifest” therapy. Real, gritty, life-interrupting trauma therapy.

From childhood illness to hospital PTSD, I’ve carried more “little t” trauma, or what I thought was “little t” trauma, than I realized… and trauma therapy has helped me stop minimizing it. This isn’t a step-by-step guide or a promise of a fix. It’s just me, sharing what I’ve learned so far.
