Special Pleading - Is That a Problem?
I guess somebody, if they're trying to think up reasons, could say, well, God just revealed the same sort of text to Joseph Smith or to the patriarchal blessing that he revealed to Abraham way back in the day. I mean, you could say that's a coincidence, but I think, you know, once you start doing that, you are indistinguishable from fraud. And so as we talked about that, that it's engaging in a special pleading that I think really stretches any possible amount of charity in common sense, we could have.
