What Peter Is Taking Away Tonight

The letter of Acts starts with Peter's blistering sermon. He names names, points his finger and says the hard truth in a way that would be unpolitically correct today. But he also wants us to notice that as he does so, he's never mean or vindictive nor cruel. The good news of the gospel is only good news and it's only unbelievably good news because the bad news of our condition as natural human beings is really, really bad and dark and really evil.
