I Am a Victim, I Am a Victim
The ego will very quickly find one of the most powerful ways of being superior, and that is you become a victim. The moment you have a mental concept of yourself as a victim, whether a collective victim or personal victim, by implication, you are morally superior to everybody else who is not a victim. To make that into a basis for your sense of self is a huge prison that you voluntarily enter, but it amplifies the ego.
