The Risk of Valve's CS2 Update

I get the sense that this is something that only Valve can do. I'm not a CS player, so take this with a grain of salt. But if EA spent X number of years updating Battlefield or Activision spent Xnumber of years updating Call of Duty and the big headline was check out this new smoke grenades, they would be absolutely skewered. So again, these are completely different types of shooters, but to me it's just an update, you know? Okay, that's cool.
