The Importance of Technology in Police Intelligence

I wanted to know from you what is your assessment of the capabilities of our police units when it comes to other kinds of intelligence say, agent or even cyber intelligence. Do you think we are at least the police units are over aligned on human intelligence or have some states managed to exceed their capacities by investing in other kind of intelligence? So what is the picture like? I think the adoption of technology by the police departments to tap into intelligence which is available in the cyber world either through interception of phones or analysis of data. Most states have over the last 15, 20 years developed a very robust and efficient model and capability of gathering that information and of analyzing it.
