Why Does Business Matter?

Many McKinsey or in general consulting employees are trained in business schools. To what extent is a problem of their education versus a problem of simply their firms? I think that there is an issue of us emphasizing quantitative and very short term results. And we become more if you want cynical and allow people to become even more cynical than we are.
