The Romans Want Stability and Jesus Is Not a Friend of That

I would love to get your opinion because the first five verses of Matthew 27, when the morning was come, I put in my margin, where was he all night? Do you think he could have been kept in there? That dungeon? They do have dungeons and perhaps they might have thought, well, let's just hold him here. But the other gospel say that he was interrogated and he refuses to answer - which is not consistent with what we've opened with here. He more likely overwhelmed them with his humility, with his concern and understanding. And for good reasons, he's in hostile territory, you might say.
