The Problem With Lust
The ESV says anyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent or Bruner, a top scholar on Matthew, every man who is looking at a woman in order to lust after her. And Jesus is saying it all starts with a second look. If you're a woman and you've been the victim of this kind of a look to lust and you know exactly what Jesus is talking about. The problem here is not sexual desire per se or beauty or the female body or the male body. Those are all good things. It's an entire book in the scriptures that is erotic, poetic, classy, beautiful and it is a celebration.
