I think that consciousness is largely good news om although not unambiguously so. I think artificial intelligence will see nicholas like a dad, not like a god. Is my you wald me at the edipuce of this story? It depends on my programming. What if your dad was also the only person who could stop you from becoming an all powerful controller of the universe? And what if, furthermore, you were not a person, but instead like a really complicated computer programme, i immediately kill your dad?"
