Free Speech

There is this notion increasingly that freedom of speech is not only overrated or not enjoyed by all people, which i think is true. But there's this notion now that free, if you want free speech, its all about wanting dog whistles. You want to send a message and use it to do something unspeakably bad. That's the instant interpretation. The good thing about free speech is that allows you to challenge poor arguments. And so if your arguments are poor, it is very, very helpful, very, very helps to present the idea of free speech as something that only evil people do. So i just think it's a tactical thing.
