Traveller Genomes - The Evolution of the Sedentary Iris

A genetic study of some travel s was published in scientific reports. No traveller whose genom they considered showed any sort of common ancestry with romany people, except for one who had said that they had a gipsy ancestor. Rather, the traveller population appears to be completely connected only to ireland. There is no marker or tendency among the genomes of irish travellers that connect them to any other country or population in europe. They are also quite diffe from the settled irian population. So there's really a dramatic difference here. Andh divergence between the sedentary irish and the travellers must have happened, they argue, at least eight generations ago,. more likely around 12 generations
