How Derek and Josh Founded Mode in 2013
Mode was founded in 2013 by three men who had never before started a business. The founders were working on an early version of Microsoft Teams when they came up with the idea for their tool. They saw that other companies around Silicon Valley, including Uber and Airbnb, are also building similar tools to help analysts do their work. So why don't we build a dedicated suite of tools for those people? That's really what we have to do.
