The Importance of Invasive Methods for Measuring ICP

There are both invasive and non-emism methods of measuring ICP the these methods ideally should be easily equipped to apply it should not be associated with complications. The gold standard is represented by a in the intra ventricular catheter inserted through a bolt or maybe even tunneled within through the scalp into the one of the ventricles out of the Ventricles. This is an invasive method which is highly reliable however not easily to apply or quick to apply it is associated with complications for example especially infections.
