The Battle of the Cambry
In 102 BC, Marius was in the midst of his fourth consul ship. The Cambrian Tutaneh decided to divide and invade Italy on two fronts. They were set to come into Italy through the Alps from the northeast while the Tutaneh were to come in along the Mediterranean coast. With the barbarian army divided, Marius could focus on one than the other without ever facing the insurmountable odds that an army of 200,000 men presented.
