Wagner: A Mercenary Organization

Wagner is essentially a private army that works at the behest of Vladimir Putin and one of his close allies, Yevgeny Pragoshin. They work where the Russian state can't be seen with its hands directly involved. And they became more heavily used in the war in Ukraine as the Russian Ministry of Defense itself was bogged down in cities like Bakhmut.
