The Irrational Decision-Making Process
Arrow's theorem says that each piece of evidence can be regarded as an individual participating in the decision-making process. To choose an option, rationally, is to choose the associated explanation. One judges arguments as explanations, not justifications and one does this creatively using conjecture tempered by every kind of criticism. At the heart of decision-making is the creation of new options and the abandonment or modification of existing ones.
