John Perry: I'm so excited to chat with you. Obviously the book gets us into these escape fantasies of billionaires that people get really excited about and think are really interesting. But before we talk about some of that, I want to kind of step back and ask a broader question because I feel like the book in some ways is also a reflection on the experiences and work that you've done over the past number of years writing about these topics. He says it's less the story of my changing attitudes towards a thing that was happening, but the way the world shifted under his feet.
