What Are You Thinking About When You Design a Task?
Teachers talk about what goes through their heads when they design a task. What are you thinking about when you sit down to design a task? I've been teaching like maths for 17 years now, so my library of tasks is extensive and it's a case of selecting from that library what I'm actually going to use. So for me, it's not necessarily about, I don't need to think hard about the task itself. It's more about what my teaching and which tasks shall I use for that lesson. We'll be back next week with another look at how teachers plan lessons.
