In the nineteen fifties, May mallory's two black children were students in harlem. Mallory says she visited her kids school that day because they'd come home and told her a child had died at school. She learned the schoolyard was closed because pieces of steel from the side of the building had fallen into the yard. At this time, the school had an awful smell.
