linlaic acid, the main six vegetable oils in its native state, seems to compete with d h a getting into the brain. If you have a huge amount of o that as forming part of the fat content of the diet, then you seem to see less d h a in the brain. But equally, there's also some some increasing lixture on the breakdown products a, where it's become oxidized which happens with high heat and repeated heating cycles. So when you're cooking with these in normal amounts at home, i don't really think it's worth worryig about. Obviously, if you're deep, deep fat frying at home, the same applies.
