The Advantages of a Paid Newsletter

Trends is a paid publication and what that really means from a business perspective is like we made our money, whether or not anybody ever opened the email. And that was kind of a win-win for the readers too because it meant that we could go deep on subjects that most people will never cover. If you can build a big enough audience around it to do that like deep dive, just better journalism.
