The Importance of the Seabury Commission
The Seabury Commission wanted to know why she had never once been prosecuted in jail despite an untold number of arrests. Adler made enough friends on the police force to earn an anonymous tip off that she was under investigation. Despite her fear, she wasn't sent to jail and the commission had been so effective it had actually cleaned up the NYPD.
