Dr. Bryan Chapell speaks with Mike about the importance of pastoral care, and the irreplaceable value of love in pastoral ministry.
Bryan Chapell currently leads the Administrative Committee of the Presbyterian Church in America and serves as Pastor Emeritus of the historic Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, Illinois and President Emeritus of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He serves on the faculties of numerous seminaries and Bible colleges in different parts of the world, and has the privilege of conducting pastors’ conferences in several nations each year.
He is also the founder and host of “Unlimited Grace,” a daily half-hour Bible teaching program that has been heard on radio stations across the United States and in more than 80 countries around the world, and is now also available to listeners online.
Dr. Chapell is an internationally renowned preacher, teacher, and speaker, and the author of many books, including Each for the Other, Holiness by Grace, Praying Backwards, The Gospel According to Daniel, The Hardest Sermons You’ll Ever Have to Preach, and Christ-Centered Preaching, a preaching textbook now in multiple editions and many languages that has established him as one of this generation’s foremost teachers of homiletics.
Dr. Chapell is passionate about sharing the truth of God’s grace with others, since it provides the freedom and fuel for transformed lives of joy and peace.
He and his wife, Kathy, have four adult children, a growing number of grandchildren, and lives rich with friends, fishing and faith.
