Benjamin's Life Can't Be Separated From His Work
Benjamin knew a huge range of people, but very, very different people. Scholem didn't like brecht. Adorno didn't like Brecht. Am so he was sort of in the middle of this incredible force field of different intellectual positions and ideologies. There's actuallyif i could just mention it, i often recommend those radio broadcasts to students as a way into an art form. And that's what i think makes his life ultimately so iconic for the period that he lived through.
