I joined a team inundated with inbound dependency requests from across feature teams. There was no way to get everything done, and we had zero capacity to also work on pressing infrastructure improvement projectswe desperately needed to do. So I developed a project intake process whereby incomplete requests to our team would be politely and nicely rejected and redirected back to the request for the first time.
