The Importance of Ease in Learning to Read and Write
Brendan: We can sometimes assume that children will just learn to read and write without actual explicit instruction in it absolutely. Brendan: In a lot of cases teachers are in wordsmiths they did read the dictionary when they were little or they learned to read and writing kind of effortlessly so they have an easier time with reading and writing than other students. He says this creates a logical difficulty for them as they try to understand how someone could struggle but also overcome their own ease by doing things more easily. "I'm not talking about all teachers there are teachers who did struggle as well and they do make very very empathetic teachers," he adds.
