So it's actually a labial cleft that means that those two lips can move completely independently so they're really selective eaters you don't want to be bothered processing something you're not going to get any nutrients from very careful about what they eat. So would have been your highlights just for me it's a bit weird considering this is a dead animal and we're doing a dissection but i've really got a sense of the personality of these creatures the way they communicate with each other the way they escalate when they're starting to feel angry how they can start with just a bit of a noise then maybe a spit before building up to the fact that they have these incredible fighting teeth
